'The Area View' - Farnborough is a town in northeast Hampshire, England, part of the borough of Rushmoor and the Farnborough/Aldershot Built-up Area. Farnborough was founded in Saxon times and is mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086.
It’s ideally located close to junctions 4 & 4a of the M3 motorway and is also served by three railway stations, of which Farnborough (Main) railway station is on the South Western Main Line which is ideal for commuters as you can be in London Waterloo with 38 minutes.
The Farnborough Aerodrome is renowned for its long-standing aviation links from the first powered flight in Britain in 1908, to the first car to go supersonic on land in 1997. Its also home to the Farnborough International Airshow which takes place on even numbered years at Farnborough Business Airport, which is a must-see for any aviation Enthusiasts.
For the non Aviation Enthusiasts there is plenty for you to see and do, from taking a leisurely stroll down the Basingstoke canal, or visiting the medieval church of St. Michaels Abbey where you will find the tomb of Napoleon III (one of France's most celebrated military leaders) and his wife.
'The Sellers View' - "I have been associated with Farnborough since I was 11 years old. I went to Wavell Secondary School, which is now a Specialist Technology College. We also have a Technical college and a 6th Form College. The local schools are very good, but I ended up sending my daughter to a "faith" school in Woking. I joined the Army and my last posting was Hong Kong. I returned to Farnborough having separated from my now ex wife, but I wanted a property to give our daughter a second home. The flat I bought is less than 200 meters from this house. She needed space and I wanted a garden. I got both in this house. A 14ft trampoline and some lessons in what and not to grow. 3 Cherry trees, an Apple tree, 3 Blueberry bushes, a Fig tree and some flowers. If you are into "steps" this is a perfect garden to get them - cutting the grass! I bought a house with an electric cooker but anyone who can cook would know that a gas cooker is the best! So I had the kitchen redesigned. I do not believe in sitting in a bath full of dirty water, so I had a walk in shower installed instead. I love this house, the patio is covered and lovely to simply sit there watching the rain/snow fall. Nature at its best whist being dry and warm. 8 minutes drive to Junction 4A for the M3 to London or Southampton. 15 minutes to Junction 4 of the M3 for the A331 to Guildford. Farnborough Main Station direct to London is a 20 minute walk. There are no racial tensions here. We have a lot of Nepalese/ex Gurkha's here and they have added value, rather than devalued. I know my neighbours and they know me and my habits". A 3 bed mid terrace house with a large garden is simply too much for me at my age. I would like to pass it on to a family that can see the potential opportunities to create a home".
'The Agents View' - "This is an excellent sized three double bedroom family home, within a great location close to the Town Centre and local schools. The current owner has updated the property with the addition of a Re-fitted Kitchen, Family bathroom and downstair cloakroom, so is just ready for the next owners to just move in and put their own personal stamp on the property."
