How to figure out which way the garden faces

A cheeky little trick to find out the direction of a garden…

What way is the garden facing?

A common question asked by most buyers on a viewing, in the last 16 years I have seen 2 or 3 people literally bring a compass on a viewing to find out.

For the rest of us normal folk the direction of any sky dish will give you a huge indicator to which way the garden is facing.

All Sky TV dishes point towards satellites that are in geostationary orbit 22,000 miles above the equator. (that’s the techy bit I got from google to try and impress you).

The key information you need to know is that Sky dishes in the UK roughly point towards the south east.  So if you need to know what level of sunshine the garden might get, have a look to the roof, find a sky dish and wow everyone with your expert knowledge. That ones on the house… Sorry couldn’t resist.
